Lesson 2: Brownies

Brownies are yummy treats that are easy to make. This recipe is the precursor to my one and only Cheesecake Brownies! :)

Here is the recipe:

Ingredients:
1 cup butter, MELTED
3 cups white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips :)

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. LIGHTLY GREASE a 9 x 13 baking dish.
1. Combine the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat the eggs, ONE at a time, mixing well after each, until thoroughly blended.
3. Stir together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
4. Gradually stir the flour mixture in the butter mixture, until well blended. Stir in the chocolate chips.
5. Spread the batter evenly into greased baking dish.
6. Bake in preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. (Cool a little before cutting)

Enjoy your brownies!!

Let me know the results and I'll post the grocery list for the next lesson! :)
